Pediatric Migraine Research Studies
Did you know that migraine is very common in children?
· About 10% of school age children suffer with migraine
· Almost 30% of adolescents between 15 and 19 years are affected by it
· Half of all migraine sufferers have their first attack before the age of 12
Looking for:
· Patients age 12 to 17 (inclusive) with a minimum of one migraine per month
· Must have at least one headache free day per month
Initial medical screenings are performed by our staff neurologist.
There are research opportunities for episodic and chronic migraine sufferers

Research opportunity for adults age 59+ with chronic pain and memory-related problems
Involves 8 virtual group sessions led by an MGH psychologist with expertise in cognition and chronic pain, 3 virtual assessment sessions, comprehensive cognitive assessment with a neuropsychologist
Use a wrist-worn Actigraph watch to monitor activity
Learn to manage your chronic pain and cognitive symptoms

Chronic Post-Surgical Pain
Looking for:
Patients 12 and older (no cap on upper age) presenting for surgery
Patients already living with post-surgical pain, with surgery having been at least 6 months ago
What do patients do/get?
2 study visits (4 - 6 months apart) at Boston Children’s Biobehavioral Pain Innovations lab, with each visit being approximately 3 hours each
$200 per study visit, free parking or $50 taxi voucher
